Hello, this is another new blog for Chinese drama especially new drama at 9.30pm time slot - Man Of The House. Since it's a drama from two collaboration of two media company, Mediacorp and Media Prima. I'm really glad to open new blog for fans to share info and update of the new show. Man Of The House.
Although I'm Malay, but it's not really a big problem to me to understand the plot of the story. It's easy with help from Malay subtitle. First of all, I thought this drama is like Grey's Anatomy or perfectly "Desperate Housewives" since the opening the production team use a voice-over to narrated the story and introduce the character. Typical and cliché but impressive and great opening. It makes me easy to understand the story.
This story shows a familiar Malaysian Chinese family or I can write it here, normal family. Three brother that have different type of view because none of them are same. The eldest, Jian Yi was a taxi driver when one afternoon, he takes two passenger that bring a chicken with them. Two of them are women and one of them are really wants to give birth. The chaos starts there and finally he got fired.
Second child or brother, Jian Err, works as attorney but specializing in marriage and divorce case. He is great and the only child that his father can depends on. He's married to a clumsy women who always get lost while driving...quirky. Youngest child, Jian San. Just finished his study and doing nothing. His father told him to further his study in management. But he wants to study in producing because he wants to a director which he didn't told anyone yet.
The mother is like skeptical mother. A full time housewives, serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to her family day by day, month by month and year to year. And after her husband retired and go back home to celebrate, she takes a very serious decision. To leave the family and get divorced. The husband was very shock so do the family. I'm also very quite shocked. Why? She seems like a great mother and housewives. Sad...maybe the husband doesn't treat her..OMG, this brings me back to the Jian Err and his mother in-law conversation. She said that one women wants to file a divorce case because her husband doesn't treat her well. Hmmm...twist plot..find out more on tomorrow's episode.
